Current work:

Next to economic assessments pertaining to climate change mitigation (greenhouse gas emission reduction efforts) I was the last few years also involved in climate change adaptation research, notably via the projects FINADAPT and TOLERATE.

Another line of research is sustainable consumption, both from a methodological point of view and in relation to policy questions (instrumental design and assessment of potentials). Ongoing projects deal with:

(1) the update of a consumption - input/output model and its linkage to the VATTAGE model

(2) eco-efficiency potentials e.g. in the future summerhouse stock (VAPET) and ..

(3) a large feasibility study - CLIMATE BONUS - regarding the possibilities to use retail chain bonus systems to incite consumers to buy less emission intensive products in conjunction with carbon footprinting and incentives for retailers to participate (see: )
