Taxation and Social Transfers

The research area concentrates in evaluating reforms in taxation and social policies from the point of views of efficiency, equity and sustainability of public finances. It also surveys and analyses developments in the operational environment of tax and social policies. In addition, activities in the research area includes editorial work of the annual publication “Finnish Economy - Structural Indicators” as well as maintenance of the TUJA micro simulation model, mainly used in ex-ante evaluation of tax and transfer reforms.
